Sam and Rachelle were married on a bluebird day in Chatham, Massachusetts alongside their closest friends and family. With a private location on the beach, kiddie pools full of beverages, paella, a non-stop dance floor, and plenty of Cape Cod nostalgia, these two threw one of the most epic, New England weddings I have ever witnessed. What I loved so much about Sam and Rachelle’s summer wedding in Cape Cod was that they spent two weeks together with close friends and family at the house before the celebration. When I arrived, it was clear that everyone was comfortable and settled into this beautiful property which I felt contributed to a sense of ease and relaxation amongst everyone present. In short, everything was just so quintessentially on point for what a summer day on the Cape should be like.
After their ceremony on the lawn of the house, we slipped away to the beach to take some photos before everyone went back up to the main reception area where Sensational Paella had one of the most beautiful displays of paella I’ve ever witnessed. From that point on, the day progressed in such a beautiful way with more food and a cocktail hour, introductions, toast, dinner, a separate champagne toast on the beach at sunset, and a nonstop dance party after dark. There was also pizza from Pizza Shark and an incredible cheese display from The Chatham Cheese Company. Sam and Rachelle truly understood what a summer wedding in Cape Cod (or anywhere) should be all about—gathering their closest friends and family to have the best time, eat well, and be by the beach. I lost count of how many times I heard “this is the best day ever” and left feeling so thankful to have had the opportunity to be a part of such a momentous occasion.
